We are all so affected by the release of the 2007 GCE O Levels results announcement for the past two weeks. The tension built-up before the release and then the Joy for parents and students upon getting the results.
There were also tears of sorrow, regrets and shock from others.
No matter the state you are in right now, be clear of the options that are available and make good decisions on them.
NOW, we shall re-focus back on the graduating class (Secondary 4 Express and Secondary 5 Normal Academic) for this year 2008. This year will be their turn to take the GCE O Levels Examinations. Understand from a few parents of my current batch of students – that their child were invited (as graduating class) to the assembly hall to share the Joy (and several sorrows) during the schools’ release of O Level results. Seems like several of my students were badly affected back by being at the venue, with several under intense stress - one student even fell sick with fever. Hmm. Not for me to comment on this arrangement from the schools.

Parents and Students – January 08 has passed and we are ushering February 08, which means:
- 4 mths to Mid-Year Examinations (this exam is impt for your to gauge your understanding of your subjects)
- 8 mths to Preliminary Examinations (certainly a Must-Score-Well for those attending to go Junior College)
- 9 mths to GCE O Level Examinations (do i have to say more? YES! 9 mths away from this major exam)
Now, we need to pull our socks up, and revised the Secondary 3 topics (fundamentals concepts) while learning new Secondary 4 topics at the same time. Do not wait to do revision of Secondary 3 topics only when your Mid-Year Examinations is around the corner. That will be too late and your heart will be beating too fast by then.
I will be discussing on real-exam questions in my future posts. Do stay tune and contribute your answers & thoughts by commenting at individual posts.
PS: For overseas readers and students, in case you are not sure about Singapore Education System, Secondary 4 and 5 is similar to your Grade 10.
