In fact, the assignment is different between Simple Cells VS Electrolytic Cells. In simple cell, you do not see words like "ANODE" and "CATHODE" in the textbook if you realised. Hope this helps. In fact, the assignment is different between Simple Cells VS Electrolytic Cells.
