Once again, this blogpost should have been posted much earlier, on 22nd March 2009, but are delayed due to technical glitch that we are experiencing while upgrading our website to serve readers better. Hope for your understanding. =)
The annual GCE O Levels Chemistry Mole Calculations Mastery Workshop 2009 was conducted at Rendezvous Hotel, Singapore (South East Asia) on Saturday, 21st March 2009.
In 8hrs, we have coached a committed group of O Levels / IGCSE / IP students on the essential concepts in Mole Calculations / Mole Concepts. This strong foundation of the essential concepts will allow them to have the confidence to approach tough Exam-Based Questions and score the grades they truly deserve.
Hear what the students say about the Mole Calculations Mastery Workshop 2009:
“Previous misconceptions about the topic have been clarified. Increased my understanding. Some of the questions I didn?t know how to do before, I am able to answer it now. I think the programme was very good as there was a lot of participation and our trainer (Mr Sean Chua) worked very hard to make sure we understood what was going on.”
Joshua Ho Zhi-Ming, Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road)
“The workshop was quite fun and interesting. Mr Sean Chua knows how to maintain the attention of each of the students (participants) in the workshop. The break timings were good and the notes were short (and concise) making it feel it was not a hassle to read as compared to my other (previous) notes I have that were very wordy.”
Sean Fong, Anglo-Chinese School (International) (IGCSE Programme)
“This programme has reinforced many mole concepts that I was taught by my school. Now I feel I would not stumble when I come across mole-related questions.”
Timothy Ho, Gan Eng Seng School
“I have gain more interest in Chemistry after attending this Mole Calculations Mastery Workshop. It is different in a way as their methods make me understand better and easier. I would recommend to my friends who are not interested in Chemistry.”
Wong Pei Yen, Peirce Secondary School
“It has further clarify my understanding in Mole Concepts in such a short period of time. In my opinion, it is more productive than other courses I have been to, and could now understand the Mole Concepts better. I would recommend to my classmates who needed help in their studies.”
Natasha Chua, Katong Convent
“I have a better understanding in Mole Concepts and learn more about application skills. Differences are that the course uses flow charts which enhances learning and better understanding.”
Brenda Toh, Fajar Secondary School
“Hey, thanks for the workshop =). Yay, the food is awesome! I managed to clear up some misunderstandings for Mole Concepts. Thank you. Well, I hope I can get my As soon. Hee Hee, your (Mr Sean Chua) instructions were simple and easy to understand, and was straight to the point. =)”
Desiree Liew, Queensway Secondary School
“This programme has benefitted me in many ways. I learnt so much more about Chemistry (especially Mole Concepts) then when I first came in. This programme is so much different as it is engaging and encourages me to put in effort and participation. I feel that I am more confident about Chemistry now than I did before. I would recommend this programme to my friends & siblings.
This programme is already very enjoyable and beneficial. I don?t think that you need to improve on it further =)”
Glenda Sim, Woodlands Ring Secondary School
“It was definitely worth 8 hours of time improving the harder concepts of Moles, like titration concepts. I would definitely come for the ?O? Level Year-End Workshop!”
Woo MeiYi, Methodist Girl?s School
“At first, I was very confused about all the Mole Concepts but they are clearer now after detailed explanation. I feel more confident for Mole Concepts now.”
Amanda Yim, Raffles Girl?s School (IP Programme)
For students that were involved in the programme – do check your email for FOLLOW-UP platforms to fully master this “tough” topic.
For students that missed this mastery workshop – there will be another one during June holiday period (tentative). You can pre-register HERE by leaving your name & email, if you want. If not, remember 1 thing – Nothing Is Impossible! and Mole Calculations is in fact easy to score if you know the strategies.
For group of Chemistry teachers, private Chemistry tutors and Chemistry tuition centre’s owner that are following this chemistry blog very closely – i just want to say: “TEACH with PASSION & ENERGY”. There is No Secrets! Just be yourself! Don’t try to copy others (cos you loose your yourself)!
For parents – Simple! Support & Believe in your child’s capability so that they can unleash their potentials.
In the following blogposts, i will share with you more GCE O Levels Chemistry exam-based questions on Mole Concepts / Mole Calculations.
